PHOENIX FC are a range of bituminous waterproofing membranes featuring excellent thermal ageing properties that allow to significantly extend the service life of the roofing system. These membranes are ideally suited to hot climates and for application on heavily insulated roofs.

PHOENIX FC membranes employ a compound consisting in a distilled bitumen mix modified with selected elasto-plastomeric
polymers (APP). Their excellent quality is highlighted by two indicators: a level of cold flexibility (-20°C) normally associated only with SBS modified compounds, and a high temperature flow resistance value (140° C) greater than that of any existing SBS modified compound.

These parameters positively affect resistance to thermal ageing and significantly increase the service life of the roofing system. Membranes with high resistance to thermal ageing and with excellent flow resistance at high temperatures are suitable to any climatic zone and particularly indicated in areas with hot climates and for application on thermally insulated roofs.

Excellent flexibility at low temperatures enables an easy application of the membrane, an important feature in areas characterized by harsh climates or for application during the cold season.
This compound, thanks to its special formula, features an excellent behavior against UV ray ageing and allows the membrane to be walked on during application.

PHOENIX FC peculiar properties allow these membrane to be applied fully exposed on any type of roof.

The Reinforcement employed in PHOENIX FC membranes consists in a heavy-duty rot-proof spunbond non-woven polyester fabric reinforced with glass fiber affording great elasticity, tensile strength and tear resistance. This is a "composite” reinforcement that combines the excellent mechanical properties of polyester reinforcements with the extraordinary thermo-dimensional stability typical of glass-fiber fabrics.

These combined properties avoid surface shrinkage and guarantee tensile strength, elongation and tear resistance allowing the membranes to absorb high levels of strain caused by structural movements of the underlying building and make it possible to employ mechanical fasteners to increase wind load resistance of the roofing system and withstand pedestrian traffic and static loads.

Different reinforcements, as well as any other custom configuration of the product may be necessary to the Client, are available prior agreement with General Membrane.
