Isolink P is a studded bituminous membrane with polyester and aluminium film reinforcement designed for vapour control and ease of installation of the overlaying insulation panels.
The compound employed in ISOLINK P membrane has been specifically designed for vapour control efficacy. It consists in a mixture of distilled modified bitumen and high quality elasto-plastomeric polymers (APP), further enhanced by the addition of specific resins chosen for their adhesive properties. ISOLINK P membrane is designed to be fully bonded to the roof deck; on their upper surface (exposed) are 120/m2 gluing studs which, after being treated by gentle torching on site, ensure anchoring of the insulating panel or of pre-coupled thermal slats such as GENERAL TERMODOGA thermal insulating membranes.
ISOLINK P membrane has got a rot-proof non-woven polyester fabric coupled with aluminium foil. These kind of reinforcements guarantees excellent mechanical properties and a function of absolute vapour control barrier: the coupling with the aluminium foil brings a property of water vapour transmission valued at μ/Sd(m) 1.800.000 / 7.200 (method A), as tests highlighted.
