General Fondo is a cold asphalt in water-based paste consisting of bitumen emulsions, thixotropic fillers, emulsifiers, bentonite, inert fillers, water. It is a non-toxic and non-flammable product with good resistance to saline solutions.

General Fondo is suitable for waterproofing of foundation concrete structures, protective walls and terraces meant to be tiled.
General Fondo is to be blended before use. It must be applied undiluted with a brush or a roller. It is recommended the application of two coats. The second coat should be applied when the first is perfectly dried. It can also be applied on damp surfaces thanks to the presence of special additives that do not affect its adhesive properties. The product, for complete drying, requires 8 hours on average, at a temperature of 25° C (there are variations according to the surface involved and the amount of product used). If meant to be exposed the dried film should be protected with reflective paints (General Vernice Alu) or water-based decorative paints (General Veracrilica).
