General Bridge Primer

Mehrere Informationen

General Bridge Primer is a bituminous solution based on oxidized bitumen and quick drying technical solvents in compliance with the norm on bridges UNI EN 14695 of 2010.

Bituminous solution based on oxidized bitumen and quick drying technical solvents in compliance with the new UNI EN 14695: 2010 bridges standard of 2010.

The product is characterized by the excellent penetration and adhesion of the slightly damp concrete substrate and the absence of surface tackiness. It is used as a layer of reception to the bituminous membranes of the Ponti series.

General Bridge Primer is used as a base coat to block the dustiness and porosity of concrete surfaces on motorway decks, as required by the "Motorway Specifications". Allows the rapid application and application of bituminous membranes that comply with the UNI EN 14695: 2010 Ponti Series in hot flame applications.

It is important that the concrete surfaces to be painted are as dry as possible, free of crumbling oils and powders. The General Bridge Primer is ready to use.

The application must be done with a brush, spray, roller or brush. When applying flame-hot polymer bitumen membranes, it is suggested to use the primer only if the concrete surfaces are perfectly dry or wet.

The drying time is influenced by the porosity of the concrete, the thickness of the film and the temperature of both the surface and the surrounding environment. Generally, the film is dried within about an hour after application. This time can be up to 2-4 hours in the presence of high thickness of primer, of rigid temperatures or of a little absorbent support. The consumption of primers ranges from 350 to 500 grams per square meter. Equipment washing can be done with the most common synthetic or nitro diluents.

Metal buckets of 5, 10 and 20 liters and 180 liter metal drums. Stability in the original closed vessels: 2 years
